Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Alberta Heart & Stroke BLS Provider is required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in the English language. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and manage a fast paced, demanding environment that has shifting daily priorities. Due to the nature of the physically demanding duties, the incumbent must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidential information. Must be reliable, cooperative, and demonstrate a high level of flexibility. Previous knowledge and application of WHMIS is required. Knowledge of body mechanics is an asset along with a true interest in health care and the desire to help others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous training and/or experience working in an operating room is desirable. Preference will be given to those applicants that have experienced and knowledge of transporting patients and cleaning/restocking of operating rooms.
