Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous experience within an Emergency/Acute Care facility is required. Knowledge of hospital equipment and procedures is an asset. Current Basic Life Support (BLS - Heart and Stroke AED Level C) required. English language comprehension, both oral and written is required. Ability to meet the physical demands associated with the position (i.e. walking/standing for long periods of time; pushing/pulling stretchers, carts, and wheelchairs on a regular basis; bending, lifting and assisting with team lifting) is required. Ability to work in a team environment is essential. Must be capable of working in a dynamic & fast paced environment while meeting the demands of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those applicants with previous Connect Care training. Ability to perform a series of routine tasks under minimal supervision. Good communication, interpersonal skills, & motor coordination are a necessity. Reliable, cooperative & able to demonstrate an effective service attitude.
