Service Worker I
Your Opportunity:
This is your opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. The service worker is a critical position within the Endoscopy department. You will be valuable in your ability to help with patient movement, supply procurement, maintenance of supply integrity, quality and tracking. As well as assisting with changeover of stretchers and efficient flow between cases and assisting re-stocking of the department as required. You will also help to hang up and clean lead aprons. You will be working as part of a team to ensure the safe care of endoscopy patients at Red Deer Regional Hospital
Description:
As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be able to work with the physical demands of the job. Not limited to lifting 30 lbs, working with items overhead, below knees in a fast-paced environment with independent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Oracle supply procurement and working to maintain integrity of supplies within the department by organizing, labelling and rotation of supply.
