Description:
As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Physically capable of lifting, pushing and/or pulling 50lbs regularly or assisting to lift up to 157.5 kgs. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively. Critical thinking, prioritization, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment. This position's rotation includes shifts from 2:45pm to 11pm; the successful candidate's availability must accommodate these work hours.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of hospital procedures and equipment operation. Previous related job experience in environmental/housekeeping services or a comparable setting. Demonstrated computer proficiency and experience with Connect Care. A valid WHMIS certificate is an asset.
