Your Opportunity:

Supporting the correctional health care team by organizing, ordering & stocking supplies for the unit, cleaning and sanitizing workspaces and medical equipment, scheduling equipment maintenance, assisting with pharmacy duties: putting away medication orders and pulling expired medications, receiving mail and shipments. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:

As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrate excellent skills in interpersonal, written/oral communication. Proven judgment and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with ORACLE inventory, procedural supplies, cleaning and disinfecting. Must be able to complete all components of OHS job - pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting/carrying/transferring patients and supplies> 50lbs with high repetitive frequency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hand Hygiene auditing.
