Your Opportunity:

South Zone leadership is excited to announce a recruitment opportunity for a Service Worker I in Diagnostic Imaging at Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH). Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, this Service Worker will work as an essential member of the CT team. Close collaboration and communication with technical staff, nursing and patients is required. Some of the duties of this role will include monitoring patient RIS depots and patient worklists, ensuring patients are changed and prepared for CT exams, assisting patients with exam preparations, assist with room turn-over, transporting patients and room supply and stock replenishment.

Description:

As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to display professionalism with patients, physicians and staff consistently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with a Diagnostic Imaging department and/or hospital setting is preferred. Connect Care training preferred.
