Required Qualifications:

University Degree (preferably in Nursing or Business Administration). Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). 3-5 years in a health care provider role and a minimum of 1 year working in a leadership capacity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Knowledge of current senior’s health trends and standards. The candidate must possess a Valid Driver’s License and have demonstrated a clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Additional Required Qualifications:

The candidate will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, and person centered orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally managing within a unionized sector. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a Seniors Health Environment and knowledge of RAI HC preferred but not necessary.
