Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years progressive experience in health research and innovation related environments with research funding agencies and/or with research granting processes is an asset. Graduate level course work in research methodology would be an advantage. Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered. A Master’s Degree (PhD preferred) in a clinical or health related field. Demonstrated skill for developing research documents, including literature/scoping reviews and manuscript. Demonstrated successful experience generating research funds, including grant funding proposals and situational/ needs analyses. Comprehensive understanding of broader research community and able to integrate this knowledge into the AHS priority programs.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of the AHS research environment is an asset. Established contacts/networks within the SCN content area(s) is an asset. Experience working independently in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is an asset. Experience developing frameworks, reports, and plans (business, work, strategic, action, evaluation and implementation plans). Demonstrated skill in data analysis and synthesis is an asset. Demonstrated ability to operationalize (e.g. secure appropriate ethics approval) and evaluate ongoing research is an asset. Experience facilitating, engaging, and mobilizing multisectoral stakeholders and establishing collaborative relationships. Experience presenting to a variety of stakeholder audiences (e.g., healthcare providers; health administrators; government; patients and public) is an asset. Experience chairing committees is an asset. Experience supervising students and research personnel is an asset. Capable of generating SCN research (as a collaborator, co-investigator, supervisor, mentor).
