Ability to operate emergency medical response vehicles and function as a front line healthcare professional to provide clinical and operational oversight for quality assurance purposes. An Undergraduate Degree and four years related experience in health care, in quality, patient safety or risk management. A clinical background and understanding of Paramedic practice is essential to this position in order to provide context for the breadth and scope of EMS delivery in Alberta. Direct experience with clinical quality improvement approaches and methods, clinical guideline/pathway development and knowledge translation, evaluation and research data management approaches (collection, analysis, reporting, dissemination), and healthcare provider and patient educational resource development. Expertise in the Microsoft office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Access). Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team. Ability and willingness to travel within Alberta. Ability to consult with patient advisors and to speak with patients and families about their healthcare experience. Possession of a valid driver's license.
