Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a graduate degree in health care management, business administration or a related health care field. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered. Progressive senior leadership experience in a healthcare environment, including 5 - 10 years experience in a senior management role in clinical services or healthcare operations.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience with assessing population health needs and setting priorities. Successful record of achievement as a leader, including extensive experience in senior leadership of a large and diverse range of functions. Utilizes strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing long term quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Proven ability to foster partnerships to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector. Financial and analytic acumen, able to interpret information to determine priorities and performance analysis. Experience in adoption of evidence informed practice and in translating evidence into care models and implementation of clinical pathways. Demonstrated ability of successful change management and complex program management. A proven commitment to patient/public centred health care system in Alberta.
