Wainwright Health Centre is seeking a Senior Project Manager with clinical experience to support quality improvement, staff development, and service delivery initiatives. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role supports the organization by leading initiatives that drive site-wide improvements. The ideal candidate is a skilled planner and communicator with a deep understanding of Alberta’s healthcare landscape and a talent for navigating change in evolving environments. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to key priorities such as care model and service delivery development, accreditation preparation, implementation of clinical best practices, and continuous quality improvement.
Description:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will bring expertise in clinical delivery, as well as planning to support the site. Your responsibilities will include: Leading service and operational reviews, quality audits, and action plans. Supporting projects that enhance clinical service delivery, care models, and patient outcomes. Driving accreditation readiness through planning, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Applying standardized methodologies, frameworks, and templates to ensure consistency across planning efforts. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners across the site. Managing critical requests and detailed project information to ensure successful execution. Navigating shifting priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment. Leading change initiatives by identifying needs, leveraging best practices, and implementing innovative solutions to address complex healthcare challenges.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, planning, management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a clinical role or healthcare setting with progressive leadership experience. Proven experience leading teams or guiding complex projects. Excellent strategic thinking, project or team leadership, and communication skills. *Equivalencies in education and experience will be considered.*
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working within Alberta’s healthcare system. Experience with Accreditation standards and survey processes. Knowledge of provincial health priorities and policies. Background in planning, analytics, evaluation, or quality improvement. Specialized training in systems thinking, integrated health system/service planning, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, organizational design, process improvement, or project management.
