Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Health Care Management or related field. 8 to 10 years senior management experience in a capital planning / capital management senior leadership role involving management of large and diverse range of functions, preferably in a health care setting. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Senior leadership experience in a capital planning / capital management environment, including extensive experience in a senior management role in capital planning operations and/or services. Extensive practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, and project and program management. Uses strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex environment. Proven ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational goals within a large, diverse organization and managing within a unionized sector. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

At least ten years progressive senior leadership experience in a capital management or related environment, including eight years of experience in a senior management role, with a successful track record of achievement in those areas. Business knowledge of the healthcare industry is an asset, with experience in engaging, communicating, and working closely with government departments. Advanced post-secondary graduate degrees or certificates would be an asset.
