A health-related or policy-related degree is required, or a combination of education and experience will be considered. A minimum of five to ten years in a policy support role, preferably in healthcare and ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is required. High level skill in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Skype, and SharePoint.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of clinical or corporate areas, groups and professions and the process that supports changing clinical practice. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Experience in mentoring and supporting staff development. Project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a Health Administration or health related field is preferred. Direct experience in policy development and/or implementation is preferred. An active practice permit with the regulatory College of a health profession in Alberta is preferred. Extensive knowledge of the health system and leading/best practices preferred. Facilitation and/or coordination experience in project planning, execution reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
