Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a health or management related discipline (although a Master’s degree is preferred). Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered. A minimum of five to seven years progressively responsible experience in health service planning, management, evaluation, quality improvement or clinical role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is necessary. Healthcare experience is important. The successful candidate has shown a demonstrated, clear pattern of professional development. The senior planner has a robust “planning toolkit”, that includes the ability to conceptualize a project plan, collaborate, has project management acumen, can extract and synthesize data and demonstrates strong facilitation skills, to name a few. The successful planner is a great communicator who can write and/or verbally present complex content into concise and easily understood reports, briefing notes or presentations. The successful senior planner works well in a team, as well as independently. While this position could support projects throughout the province, this position will report to a Zone Director.


Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate may occasionally have other duties as assigned, to support projects within the Planning & Performance portfolio, but outside of our System & Service Planning team in order to assist with organizational priorities under tight timelines.


Preferred Qualifications:

Training in health system or health service planning or project management would be an asset.
