The Senior Financial Analyst position in the Automation and Business Systems team has a key role in the ongoing implementation of strategies for the Finance portfolio. They have an expert level of knowledge in interpretation of financial and/or accounting reports for the Provincial Health Agencies/Provincial Health Corporations in accordance with policies and procedures and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial directives issued by Alberta Ministries. This role as part of Health Shared Services will provide services to our partners within all PHAs and PHCs. Furthermore, this role understands the project lifecycle and demonstrated experience with process improvement and automation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and financial needs by leveraging advanced technical tools and methodologies. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis, developing data models, automating reporting processes, and providing insights to improve decision making. Effective communication to all levels within an organization is a strength as is developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Description:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will coordinate and/or prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports, along with providing interpretation of analyses and reports to support business and external requirements. Your work will be focused on budgets, forecasting, recommendations for program and/or cost efficiencies and development or enhancements to processes and controls. In addition, you will coordinate and monitor progress of financial projects, as well as coach and guide other department staff such as Financial Analysts.
