Master's-level education (thesis preferred) with strong quantitative component in a related field, e.g community health or social sciences, health economics, biomedical statistics , epidemiology , quality assurance, or several years of equivalent experience. Expereince designing/implementing quantiative research or evaluation projects including data collection tools, sampling and analysis methods. Related experience in a healthcare or research environment. 3-5 years related experience required. Related experience working with spreadsheets , databases and tools for querying integrating, analyzing , interpret ing, reporting and disseminating information. Related experience in the applicat ion of information techno logy, database and information management. Oracle SQL or other comparable database query and report writing experience is required Training and experience in statistics that includes knowledge and ability to produce a variety of descriptive , inferential and predictive statistics. Experience in screening, cleaning, linking, creating , modifying and analysing datasets with a statistical or database-management software package.
Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years related experience required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsand demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams . Familiarity with Alberta Privacy and Freedom of information legislation Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word , Powerpoint , Visio, and Access)
Preferred Qualifications:Applicable professional or technical certification is preferred. e.g. A.Stat, P.Stat, Professional certification in Public Health, PMP certification, vendor certification, etc
