Graduate of a recognized School of Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required. 1-2 years of VAD experience with demonstrated competence and in-depth knowledge in the operations of VAD devices and associated equipment required. A combination of education and experience may be considered. 3 - 5 years Nursing experience in a Cardiovascular ICU, critical care or coronary care unit required. Previous management or leadership experience (charge nurse, nurse educator, project manager, etc.) demonstrating effective leadership / management, team building, teaching and communication skills required. Highly motivated, self-directed and demonstrated accountability and integrity in the performance of duties required. BCLS. Critical Care Certificate. Active CARNA Registration required.

Preferred Qualifications:Current ECLS an asset.
