Your Opportunity:

Working in collaboration with various teams and stakeholders, this position provides key support to operational leaders and end users with the optimization of Clinical Informatics (Connect Care). This position will support direct patient care by monitoring quality indicators and key metrics in connect care, and working directly with frontline teams to improve compliance to improve patient care and safety. Supports the site in managing, prioritizing and monitoring connect care processes and changes including downtime.

Description:

The Senior Consultant, CI program will engage site/program stakeholders to continually improve the quality and integrity of clinical information. The Senior Consultant, CI program will be a key representative of the site/program on all matters related to the use of Clinical Information Systems (CISs) and the subsequent impacts the CIS has on clinical operations. The CI program lead will lead all types of improvement projects impacted by or relying on CISs and will seek to ensure the clinical priorities of the site/program are supported by the CIS in use. Together with operational leaders, the Senior Consultant in, the CI program will oversee the reporting and sharing of clinical information for use in decision-making and performance monitoring. The Senior Consultant, CI program will be the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders; and will ensure that clinical and accreditation standards are maintained; and that the services meet the needs of service users by evaluating and assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the services provided.

Required Qualifications:

Degree (master's preferred) in a health-related field. Current registration with professional association (if applicable). Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Minimum of 2 years experience with using or managing clinical information systems. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal growth. Experience in initiating and fostering positive relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to build strong customer relationships and facilitate change. Considerable skill is needed to balance diverse and, occasionally conflicting, stakeholder interests. Significant experience in complex problem-solving, negotiation, concerns/conflict resolution and investigation/negotiation. Ability to think systematically and critically.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated understanding of analytical and evaluation techniques for quality improvement and benefits realization. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant health information standards, data interrelationships and dependencies among various health information systems. Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience and expertise in facilitating presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Experience with teaching adult learners. Experience in leading care teams or providing direct patient care is required.
