A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field (healthcare profession, business, education, etc.). Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. 10 years of varied professional experience which includes at least 2 years of leadership experience in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, programs, and people with tight timelines. Demonstrated knowledge in project management, change management and process/quality improvement methodologies. Proven progressive pattern of professional and personal development. Comfortable working and communicating with physicians, nurses, allied health, senior leadership, and other stakeholders. Experience in managing complex issues and working toward collaborative resolution. A critical thinker with experience initiating and fostering positive relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Ability to interpret organizational and external challenges and recommends best practices to improves processes or services. Experience in resource management including planning and budget responsibility. a strategic thinker with proven abilities in complex problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation in this field.
Additional Required Qualifications:Diverse healthcare leadership experience is preferred. Successful leadership experience in project management environments including project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation. Demonstrated knowledge in research methodologies. Extensive experience managing in a cross-functional team environment, with skill in managing several teams at once. Effective communicator with positive influential skills that support an orientation to patient and family-centered care and commitment to providing quality services. Experience participating in senior level planning, research projects, project analysis, outcomes, report development and dissemination of results. Knowledge and experience in the application of business planning, modeling concepts, and program/project management theories, principles, and practices. Ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications:A graduate degree in a healthcare discipline, health care management, leadership or other relevant clinical training (e.g., RN, PT, etc.). Change management or project management certification (e.g., PROSCI, Project Management Professional (PMP), Healthcare PM, etc.) Experience with Alberta Netcare eReferral, Connect Care, Community EMR’s, primary care networks and/or surgical specialties considered an asset.
