Post-secondary completion in business, information technology or a health-related discipline. Proven equivalent knowledge will be considered. Minimum of five years of work experience specific to business analysis activities including application of core and advanced business analysis processes, tools and techniques. Competency in all core aspects and techniques of business analysis should be at a senior level. Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to conduct group presentations effectively and efficiently including at the executive level. Proven expertise in engaging business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs, conduct stakeholder elicitation activities effectively, adeptly manage the requirements analysis, synthesis, documentation and validation process, and facilitate hand-off to architects, developers and vendors. Solid understanding of business process design and visualization, as well as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standards. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, planning and monitoring own workload. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others. Ability to work in an organization with both direct and dotted-line reporting and peer relationships.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to travel to various locations in Alberta to meet project and operational commitments.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least seven years of BA work experience specific. Membership in and/or certification through a professional organization related to business analysis and/or health informatics is preferred. Understanding of IT infrastructure and technology.
