Post-secondary degree in public health, health promotion, health sciences, health research, community development or related programs. Your academic background includes research and evaluation. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an organization of significant size and complexity, with a focus on human resources or health. In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence within teams. Experience developing Psychological Health and Safety programs. Facilitation/coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships/partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational & influencing skills, client-focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services. Excellent analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to develop and facilitate presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Be in good standing with your professional regulatory body (if applicable). Knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, occupational health, and safety and/or experience working in large organizations. Ability to identify, interpret and communicate complex issues or difficult situations. Builds and maintains an effective network of contacts and resources aligned with Workplace Health & Safety. Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Adaptable to constant change. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of occupational health and safety best practices.
