Required qualifications include: 1) A minimum of three (3) years of experience in internal audit, compliance, and risk management within a large organization, post designation. 2) A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field; and 3) A professional certification such as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Please note that a combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Additional required qualifications include: 1) Demonstrated understanding of internal control frameworks and the ability to assess control effectiveness. 2) Proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques to analyze and interpret large datasets. 3) Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls, and assurance processes. This includes knowledge of relevant auditing standards, regulations, and best practices. 4) Ability to assess and prioritize risks within an organization, considering both entity and operational aspects. 5) Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and effectively to various stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. 6) Thoroughness in reviewing documents, processes, and records to identify even minor discrepancies or irregularities that may have a significant impact. 7) Adherence to high ethical standards and the ability to make fair and impartial decisions, especially when encountering ethical dilemmas during audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include: 1) Sound knowledge of the industry's regulatory environment, compliance standards, and best practices. 2) Working knowledge of Human Resource (HR) functions including: payroll, pension and benefits, HR administration, recruitment, leave of absence, etc.
