A four (4) year bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary educational institution, with a focus in business, communications, social science, instructional design, educational psychology, or another related field. Four (4) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in management, teaching, training and development, or another human resources field. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare or public safety industry.
Additional Required Qualifications:
This position requires expert experience in change management, employee leadership and development programming, curriculum design and facilitation; an understanding of how to apply and/or adapt best practices in a public safety culture, and innovative approaches to people experience improvement. Experience working in or supporting public safety personnel is an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in communication, program design, adult education, and organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Graduate degree from an accredited post-secondary educational institution with a focus in training and development, human resources management, organizational development, or business administration. Active certification with the Society for Human Resources Management, Chartered Professional in Human Resources, or equivalent. Certification with the Association for Talent Development, the International Society for Performance Improvement, or equivalent professional certifications.
