Required Qualifications:

Master of Science degree from a NAACLS accredited Pathologist’s Assistant Program required. American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification or eligible for ASCP certification and registered for the examination is required Current certification or eligible for certification with the Canadian Certification Council of Pathologist’ Assistants (CCCPA-CCCAP), full scope.


Additional Required Qualifications:

The selected candidate will have the ability to accurately/clearly dictate a description of biopsy or surgical specimens, including CPL levels 5 and 6. Attention to detail, proficiency, aptitude and precision in grossing techniques are required. The ability to recognize testing/procedural anomalies and act appropriately to resolve or assist with resolution of problems is required. The successful candidate must have the ability to operate Windows based computer applications. Excellent English language skills are essential. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment.
