Required Qualifications:

PhD in life sciences, health sciences, epidemiology or a related discipline with experience in population-health research. Excellent track record in research project development and program management. Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience in communicating with different audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with provincial, national and international multi-disciplinary stakeholders. Excellent knowledge and ability to manage relationships. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability with decision making, strong organizational skills, coaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated experience of mentoring research trainees (e.g. students, post-doctoral fellows, etc.) in the health sciences field. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse and complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Research experience in the field of cancer care, particularly prevention and early detection, is a major advantage. Demonstrated ability in managing teams, including performance and results. Demonstrated ability to advance new ideas pertaining to knowledge translation, research dissemination and evaluation of impact. Awareness of provincial and national initiatives related to cancer and chronic disease prevention research.
