Required Qualifications:

Post - Secondary education (Degree or Diploma) from a recognized institution for Medical Imaging Technology and/or Information Technology. Five to eight (5-8) years’ experience in Diagnostic Imaging or healthcare with working knowledge of application and technical aspects of Imaging Informatics. Understands imaging informatics in the context of the electronic health record. Proven leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven analytical and planning skills. Ability to recognize, develop and present innovative ideas. Proven organizational and time management skills. Creative, innovative and enthusiastic. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, collaboration and partnership. Ability to interpret internal organization and external industry challenges recommending best practices to improve processes or services. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Results orientated. Analytical skills. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency with supporting and troubleshooting computer hardware including diagnosis and identification of computer component failure. Demonstrated understanding of Common Procedure Exam List, MIS guidelines and CIHI measurements. Demonstrated understanding of Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan and Schedule of Medical Benefits fee schedules. Demonstrated understanding of a variety of Alberta Health Acts such as Freedom of Information. Knowledge of HL7, DICOM, IHE, CPEL, CIHI, ITIL, FOIP, HIA, and IDC. Ability to meet deadlines. Skilled in refining and/or translating complex technical concepts into user friendly material.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) designation is an asset.
