Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current BCLS-HCP. A minimum of 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience with recent operating room, acute care or critical care experience. Ability to perform the following physical requirements: being on one's feet for extended periods (including walking/standing), exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situations for which they are trained; being able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients; be able to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:Preceptor experience with respiratory therapy students. Relevant Degree. Previous experience working as a RRT in an OR environment. Competency in performing adult Intubation & Arterial Line Insertion. Completion of Anesthesia Assistant training program. Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification.
