Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Life Support - Health Care Provider Certification. Recent acute care and critical care experience within past 5 years. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification. Ability to work a 11.08 hr days/ nights rotation. Ability to work in all areas of the hospital, including NICU, Pediatrics, LDR, OR, PACU, Wards, ED, Ambulatory Respiratory Therapy, and ICU. A demonstrated pattern of professional development; display of interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to manage competing priorities, exercise independent decision-making and effectively resolve conflict; and promotion of a healthy, respectful, & safe work environment are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience managing Neonatal invasive ventilation and neonatal non-invasive ventilation in past 5 years. Current PALS certification. Current ACLS certification. Competency in arterial line insertion. Competency in adult intubation. Competency in use of point of care ultrasound for arterial line insertion. Previous formal mentorship experience. Completion of preceptorship training. Relevant bachelor’s degree. Connect Care training and experience.
