Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must maintain registration with CARTA throughout duration of employment. Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Proven ability to provide exceptional clinical care within a continually changing healthcare environment. Self-directed, with the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will work independently in different settings and environments. They must be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 12-20kgs. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. Must be able to navigate various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc. Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience in the care of pediatric clients, including experience with palliative clients, tracheostomies, ventilators and non-invasive ventilation. Experience providing care in community settings. Experience with Meditech and Connect Care. Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
