Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in a health or science related field. Registration with applicable professional association or college where required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong skills in biostatistics, epidemiology as well as working with large and complex health-related data sets. Proficient in statistical data analysis, data visualization software and/or interactive reporting tools such as Tableau, SAS, R, SQL and Python, with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively. Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary projects that involve multiple stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a high-paced team setting. Strong problem solving, critical appraisal and decision-making skills. Understanding of relational databases and experience with accessing and using data from Oracle servers an asset. Experience in geospatial cluster detection methodologies and implementation an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, statistics, health sciences (or related field) with 3 years of progressive public health-related experience preferred. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated expertise in disease surveillance, epidemiological analysis, and interpretation of health data.
