Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Community Health Sciences). Minimum of 5 years of experience managing research projects and grants within an academic research setting. A clear understanding and experience working with Health Information Act, Tri-Council policies for the Ethical Conduct of Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with quantitative, qualitative & mixed-method research.; Familiarity with research software (i.e., Mendeley, Nvivo). Strong technical writing skills & ability to translate complex scientific evidence for decision making. Experience with submission of ethics applications. Experience in developing/conducting surveys, interviews & focus groups, obtaining informed consent & theming/analyzing results. Extensive experience in conducting systematic literature reviews & synthesizing large amounts of information. Experience in developing oral presentations, reports, discussion papers & manuscripts. Demonstrated ability to work independently & in a team setting. Ability to balance work on a variety of projects, manage short and long-term plans & prioritize to meet deadlines. Experience with projects involving multiple stakeholders/multi-sector partners. Proven ability to liaise with leaders, researchers & planners from academic, health, social & community sectors. Strong conceptual, problem-solving, and critical appraisal skills. Demonstrated pattern of professional & personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of the AHS research environment is an asset. Experience working with underserved populations an asset. Formal training in project management methodologies (PMP designation is an asset). Masters in related field (Public Health, Community Health Sciences) is an asset.
