Your Opportunity:

As a member of the Decision Support Team (DST), the Clinical Informatics (CI) Assistant works closely with DST team members, and clinical and administrative staff and managers of Calgary and area Recovery Alberta (RA) services. The CI Assistant will also liaise with other departments across the other health care organizations (e.g. Information Technology, Health Information Management). The CI Assistant is responsible for a wide range of tasks in support of clinical informatics directly related to Connect Care (CC) use in Calgary area RA services. The successful candidate should possess a strong working knowledge of CC across the various modules (e.g. ASAP, inpatient, ambulatory) and should be open to ongoing learning as CC is upgraded and optimized. Success in the role is highly dependent on the incumbent having very good attention to detail, being a self-starter, and being extremely conscientious with respect to quality of work. While project work is largely assigned and supervised by the CI Analysts, this position reports directly to the DST Manager. Key responsibilities include: Providing user-support and training to Calgary area RA staff and managers. Maintain system documentation, including CC Tip Sheets. Participating in the development of data standards and data auditing procedures to support the maintenance of quality CC data. Assist with the development of in-system CC reports for the purpose of supporting operational and clinical practice. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you agree to and will become an employee of Recovery Alberta.
