Your Opportunity:
(FACS) has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN). Reporting to the Care Manager of FACS, you will act as a member of the multidisciplinary Forensic Mental Health Program (FMHP) treatment team. This position works closely and collaboratively with community stakeholders, offering consultative and educational services as needed, along with coordination and case management planning and follow-up. The Adult Diversion Program helps ensure that, whenever possible, adults with a mental illness who commit minor, low-risk offences and come into conflict with the law receive appropriate care, support and treatment in the community rather than in the criminal justice system. The team provides community based care and treatment that focuses on the specific mental health issue that may have contributed to the commission of the offence.
