Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a RN or RPN, which includes a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with brain injury, mental health and/or dementia. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience managing complex clients. Minimum 3 years of Seniors Health experience. Advanced clinical & assessment skills. Meditech & Connect Care trained. Competent with MS Office Suite, TEAMs, & Zoom. Case Management Education. Proven leadership experience including comfort with challenging individuals. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel. Able to work independently in different environments (weather conditions) and must be physically capable of carrying approx. 25-30lbs. Works collaboratively with all members of the health care team, including patients and their families.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Continuing Care including Home Care, DSL, &/or LTC. CNA Certification in Geriatrics, or willingness to obtain. Supportive Pathways Trainer certification &/or Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) Case Management Education. Experience in program planning, education of adults, interdisciplinary practice, and research activities. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Ability to work independently & to be flexible to adapt to changing clinical situations.
