Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting at a desk, the ability to carry 15-20 lbs. of patient monitoring equipment, and ability to assess patients on inpatient units and in the ED as required.
Preferred Qualifications:2-5 years of demonstrated nursing leadership skills/experience in a surgical environment, with a proven track record of excellent communication with patients and various care providers. Proficiency with computers, Connect Care experience, and familiarity and comfort with use of web-based platforms, Zoom and video conferencing, and digital Remote Patient Monitoring. Experience in specialty surgical areas such as cardiovascular, urological/gynecological or orthopedics is an asset.
