Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Baccalaureate level degree in nursing. At least 5 years’ experience in fast-paced healthcare environments which include at least two of the following practice settings: Primary Care, Community, Acute Care. Familiarity with Case Management. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Demonstrated advanced skills in assessment, critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution, risk and time management. Demonstrated advanced understanding of the health system and proven ability to provide exceptional patient and family-centred care within a continually changing complex healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, adaptable, and flexible, and work as part of a team. The ability to provide comprehensive assessment to individuals in both in-person and in non-traditional nursing settings. The successful candidate must be able to work in different settings and environments (home, hospital and virtual environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carrying medical bags, which weigh approximately 25-30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated leadership and/or management experience is an asset. Must be able to cope with high levels of stress, fluctuating priorities, and time sensitive deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Quality and Process Improvement, and the introduction of new initiatives using a change management philosophy. eCLINICIAN, Tandem, and Meditech experience preferred. Masters level degree (or progress toward degree) in health related field an asset.
