Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:At least 1 year previous surgical experience required Urology, Bariatric, General Surgery IV, PCA, epidural, TPN, Drains, Wound Care experience required Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates are required to write a medication calculation exam on interview. Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam may impact the decision to hire. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives at the front line; supporting and maintaining high quality patient care strategies within the surgery program. ** Must attach resume to be considered.
