Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team. Critical thinking skills, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Demonstrates ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing professional and practice competencies through professional development activities. Baccalaureate Degree with two years of current orthopedic/urology surgical experience within the last three years.
Preferred Qualifications:Orthopedic certification. Proven experience of successful leadership on a surgical unit. Exhibit strong time management and prioritization with a demonstrated ability to function independently and within a dynamic team environment. A strong interest in patients requiring Orthopedic/Urology related Nursing care.
