Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

IV, PCA, epidural, Central Line experience required. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates are required to write a medication calculation exam on interview; Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam may impact decision to hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference given to nurses with cardiac monitoring and invasive pressure monitoring experience. Two years Charge nurse experience preferred. Two years previous neuro/Ortho/trauma surgical experience preferred. ACLS and /or TNCC training an asset.
