Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years in public health, harm reduction and/or sexual health. Computer proficiency with complex programs and databases; documentation is completed in the Electronic Medical Records. Ability to manage complex clients with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of population health, truth and reconciliation, and; An advanced understanding of the Public Health Act.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Minimum one (1) year within the past three (3) years’ experience in an STI Clinic or Sexual Health setting. Working knowledge of Indigenous communities, harm reduction and vulnerable populations. Prior experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of STBBI. Experience collecting genital specimens, including PAP smears and microscopy. Experience providing education to health professionals & external stakeholders.
