Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) required. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to be self-directed and able to exercise independent Nursing judgment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of various ages, socioeconomic status, and ethnic backgrounds. Proven critical thinking and decision-making skills. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks. 3 years of recent critical care experience. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an acute care facility, preferably emergency department. SANE-A certification. Current certificate as SANE-A with International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN). Knowledge of community based support services is an asset. Evidence of active participation in professional and community activities is an asset. Experience and skill working with collaborative partnerships is an asset.
