Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, you must complete the following free courses: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4), available at https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules/ and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification, available at https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have current (within 1 year) hemodialysis training. Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills. Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making abilities. Must be able to provide direction to other health care workers. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members. Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workload. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, interpersonal and communication skills. Successful candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs. (18kg).
Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years recent Med-Surgical Nursing experience. Recent Nephrology Nursing experience. Demonstrated knowledge of case management. Experience with Connect Care. Demonstrated knowledge of case management.
