Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:This is a Regularized Relief Position so requires flexibility to the provided rotation to allow for the expected coverage for pre-booked Vacation and Education relief, etc. Driver's Abstract to be completed by AHS with no GDL restrictions. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Actively integrates Patient and Family Centered Care principles into practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum one (1) years community nursing experience. Experience with Meditech, Care Manager, Microsoft Office and general computer skills. RAI-HC training. Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required.
