Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current NRP (lesson 1-9) required. Recent (within the last 1 year) experience in an urban acute care Postpartum setting with > 4500 births per year required.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Course work in Breastfeeding Support is preferred. Experience in other areas Perinatal nursing; other areas of nursing; post-surgical nursing preferred. Demonstrated ability to: critically think in a fast-paced dynamic environment; work collaboratively in a team environment to effectively contribute to patient centered care. Supports change, actively participates on the team by demonstrating innovation, ideas and adaptability.
