Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:May be required to provide coverage on occasion to other critical care areas on site (ie: NICU) following appropriate orientation. Preference given to those with Canadian Nurses Association CNCCP(C) Pediatric ICU certification. American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACCN) certification is an asset. Demonstrated excellent family centered care skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment with a focus on collaborative teamwork. Demonstrated advanced critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment. Exemplifies strong leadership skills and independence.
Preferred Qualifications:PALS certification. May be required to provide coverage on occasion to other critical care areas on site (ie: ED, NICU and PACU) following appropriate orientation. Prior E-critical/Metavision training. ENPC/ACLS/TNCC certifications.
