Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Clinical expertise in the nursing care of patients with neurological conditions required. Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities required. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, organizational and assessments skills required. Strong communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:Canadian Nurses Association certification in Neuroscience Nursing preferred. Minimum 3 years experience on an acute care neuroscience unit preferred. Minimum 3 years experience working on an acute stroke unit preferred. Basic computer skills are an asset.
