Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum three (3) years within the past five (5) years of public health experience. Computer proficiency with complex programs and databases; documentation is completed in the Electronic Medical Record.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Minimum two (2) years within the past four (4) years’ experience in an STI Clinic or Sexual Health setting including Partner Notification, Contact Tracing and Management. Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years’ experience and knowledge in the case management process of care. Experience in phlebotomy and collection of throat, rectal, and eye swabs. Recent experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of STI’s.
