Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Resume required This job is physically demanding, the incumbent will be required to assist with lifting, repositioning, and mobilizing patients as well as other physical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with assessment for signs of delirium and nursing interventions an asset Experience with performing CAM assessment and CC behavioral charting/documentation an asset Two years Charge nurse experience preferred. Two years previous orthopedic and surgical experience preferred.
