Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Able to do on-call/call back and weekend shifts as required The Registered Nurse position requires physical demands including the requirement to stand scrubbed for many hours and to wear lead apron protection for an extended period of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in the operating room and/or post-anesthesia recovery room. Perioperative Nursing Course Certificate. Canadian Perioperative Nursing Certificate (CPNC). Post-Anaesthesia Care Nursing Course. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Membership with Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC).
