Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Operating Room experience within the past 2 years. Completion of a Peri-operative nursing course. Ability to wear lead and/or stand scrubbed for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on-call and respond within 30 minutes.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 2 years continous Operating Room experience in both the scrub and circulating role. Acute care pediatric experience within the past 5 years. CNA Peri-operative Nursing Certification. PALS Certification. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex integrated team. Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgeme
